The NWRWMG was formed in 1999 when it was decided by the seven legacy councils involved that a joint approach would be the most effective method of developing and implementing waste management strategies.
The Waste Management Plan for the region has been developed following work carried out on behalf of the North West Region Cross Border Group and in conjunction with the steering group of the NWRWMG.
